A demo of our Oculus Rift project "Language Learning VR". The premise is to immerse the user in another culture and to facilitate a dialogue within another language. For this demo, we show a scene that takes place in a Colombian restaurant. The user will speak Spanish with our virtual human character. We go over the positives and the negatives of our current demo, as well as the results of a pilot study we conducted. This project was created for the course "Human-Computer Interaction" at the University of Florida, taught by Dr. Shaundra Daily.
