Assertion failure Visual C++ Runtime Library. Application has encountered a user-defined breakpoint

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Assertion failed!. I am opening epub file with Adobe Digital Editions. When i switch to next page from the adobe digital editions, i am getting the 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Window displaying with the error message 'Assertion failed'. When i try to debug the application, the application has encountered a user-defined breakpoint. A breakpoint in an application indicates a program error. At this situation the application will continue running, but it may be in an unstable state. When i Debug the program with visual studio, i found DigitalEditions.exe has triggered a breakpoint.
